Jillian Noel Shennessy born November 25, 1968, in Canada is a Canadian performer and actress who has been honored for her outstanding contributions for American television. She was the main character in the American TV series Law & Order, where she portrayed prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three years. In Crossing Jordan she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy is also known for her exceptional performances in RoboCop 3 Most Wanted. Some other movies comprise Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) as well as The Acting Class. Hennessy started her career as an actor in Dead Ringers with her sister. In 1990, she was as a guest on Broadway in the role of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Then, she moved to sci-fi, and portrayed the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. She got her big break after the season ended, when she was cast as the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order.
